Affiliate Disclosure
How FenuaTravel separates editorial guidance, direct guide sales and any future affiliate relationship.
How this site may be funded
FenuaTravel is an independent travel media and planning resource published by AurelMedia. Affiliate relationships do not make FenuaTravel a travel agency, booking service or package seller.
Direct FenuaTravel guide sales may fund writing, fact-checking, updating and hosting. A future affiliate relationship would be disclosed separately before any tracking link is activated.
- Direct sales of FenuaTravel PDF guides, when a guide is explicitly available through the named sales platform
- Future affiliate links only after the agreement, local inventory and user conditions have been verified
No travel-service tracking link or partner widget is active in this local version. Compare the provider's live price, inclusions and terms before completing any transaction.
What exactly is an affiliate link?
If affiliation is activated later, the link will be labelled in context and this page will name the relationship. The partner would then be able to record the referral under its own conditions.
Concretely for you:
- Price controlled by the provider — check the final amount, currency, taxes and conditions on the partner's website.
- No active partner widget — external services currently remain direct links unless they are explicitly loaded as a non-affiliate source.
- No obligation — you remain free to use another provider or an official source.
Current commercial status
No travel-service affiliate partner is declared active in this local version. A partner will be listed only after its agreement, actual French Polynesia inventory and user terms have been checked. Direct FenuaTravel guide sales through Gumroad are identified as purchases from the sales platform, not as affiliated travel recommendations.
How I choose my partners
Partners are reviewed against these editorial checks:
- Relevant scope — the service must show an offer or useful comparison applicable to French Polynesia at the time it is linked.
- Transparent destination — the user must be able to identify the provider before leaving FenuaTravel.
- Verifiable transaction — the provider must display the current price, inclusions and contractual terms before payment.
A partnership may be removed when its coverage, disclosure or user journey no longer meets these checks.
How to recognize an affiliate link on this site
Every affiliate link on FenuaTravel follows these 3 rules:
- Marked
rel="nofollow sponsored"in HTML — the Google standard signaling to search engines that it's a commercial link. - Contextual mention like "(affiliate link)" or "(partner)" near the link or at the section's footer.
- Clearly identifiable button or text — no visual deception, no fake "Download" button that leads to a sales page.
Non-affiliate links on the site
Many links on FenuaTravel are NOT affiliate links. Notably:
- Links to Air Tahiti, Air France, French Bee (airlines — no affiliate program for French Polynesia routes at the time of writing)
- Links to local family pensions and independent Polynesian providers
- Links to information sources (Wikipedia, institutional sites, local press)
- Internal links to other FenuaTravel pages
No obligation for these links, so no special mention.
Your rights (GDPR and French law)
In accordance with the French LCEN law and Consumer Code, I am required to:
- Clearly indicate when content is commercial (this page fulfills that requirement)
- Mark affiliate links accordingly (contextual mention + HTML tag)
- Not deceive visitors about the commercial nature of a recommendation
On GDPR: no travel affiliate tracking widget is active in this local version. An external provider applies its own privacy policy after you deliberately open its website. You remain free to use another provider or an official source.
